Media members are highly encouraged to attend Whiteman Air Force Base's Air Show and Open House, Wings Over Whiteman 2009, June 6.

A flat-bed trailer will be provided at the air show as a high platform to shoot photos and videos.

Interviews with various members of Whiteman leadership will also be available throughout the day.

Media covering the event will report to the Knob Noster State Park, just inside the entrance off Hwy 23, at 8:30 a.m. or at 9:30 a.m. for an equipment and vehicle search, followed by an escort from the park onto the base to reserved parking.

Media arriving at 10:30 a.m. or later will need to report directly to the Whiteman AFB Spirit Gate, and should expect delays.

Media members are required to provide identification.

For those driving on base, they must have current vehicle registration, proof of insurance and drivers license.
